Qualifications

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

You must have successfully completed an approved course and be able to provide a copy of a current certificate. This certificate must be from a National or International school or Board. However, local training or certifications are not acceptable. Most states and any legitimate Board will not accept this type of training.

Most important, you must not have been convicted of a felony or have served any jail time. We will not accept, without exceptions, any registered sex offenders for membership or for certification. We are the only board to screen its members, thus maintaining our organization's high standards and ensuring that our profession is one for all to enjoy. These high standards must be maintained for two reasons: 1) to maintain the public's positive perception of Hypnosis and 2) to comply with new laws, as the states are now starting to regulate Hypnosis.

When you have successfully completed any one of our courses, you will automatically receive a six month membership in our board. We then require 8 hours of continuing education units per year in order for you to maintain your status. Nevertheless, when you are a member of our organization, it will mean added prestige, respect, and credibility to your Hypnosis practice.

There is no previous educational experience required to take these courses. The courses include a complete kit containing all that a student needs to complete the courses. Upon completion of the courses you will be certified. We suggest that you take this training whenever it is possible for you to do so. It can be taken at any one of our centers and at anytime in the future. Upon successful completion of the internship, the student will then become board certified. Members are also offered an optional fellowship after two years. Becoming a fellow of the board provides the added prestige and recognition that comes with this designation.
